The bow is the whole thing. I had a customer who ordered a spider design for her daughters halloween bag and she asked if I could add a bow to make it less scary for a young kid, so I did, and then I got so many requests for that version that I made it a standalone product. Six colours, 7,446 stitches, density 95, in a nearly-square 3.47 by 3.5 inch footprint.

At density 95 this is a genuinely light stitch-out, it runs quick, sits flat, and doesnt stiffen the fabric at all. The spider body is in a solid fill with rounded satin outline, and the bow uses a layered satin technique in Wilcom so the loops have a slight puff to em without extra thickness. The legs use thin satin bars, not fill shapes, which keeps them crisply outlined. Stabiliser: tearaway on most fabrics, cutaway on jersey or anything with stretch.

Pick any light-to-medium ground fabric for the six colours to read clearly, pink, lavender, cream, white, and light orange all work really well. Avoid dark fabrics if youre keeping the default black body fill because it blends into navy or charcoal grounds. Pair it with a pink or lavender bow thread for a girly-cute version, or use white bow on a black ground for something a bit more graphic. Dont stress too much about the exact thread match for the accent, its flexible and even a close-enough dusty rose reads well.

Use a 75/11 needle, tearaway stabiliser on cotton or canvas, and run the colour sequence as-is since the bow goes last and sits cleanly on top of the body fill at the low density. Its worth stitching a test patch on scrap first if youre customising the colour palette, just so youre confident the bow reads against your chosen ground before committing to the final piece.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
