A big open circle with 4 spiders hanging off it on their silk threads. Thats the whole composition and its kinda perfect for halloween. The ring itself is a thick double-stroke circle with a slightly sketchy inner edge, not a ruler-perfect line. The spiders drop down the left side and curl underneath at the bottom left, each one digitised with its own leggy detail, proper 8-legged shapes not cartoon blobs.
One black thread, zero colour changes. Nine sizes from 3.5 inches wide up to 7.5 inches wide, and the stitch counts stay really manageable, 2,118 stitches at the small end and only 4,476 at the largest. Density sits at 96 which is genuinely low, so your machine wont labour over this. The silk threads the spiders hang from are satin-column lines, Wilcom digitised em narrow so they stay crisp and dont lose definition on the smallest sizes.
What people mostly use this for is putting a name or monogram inside the open ring centre. The circle is deliberately empty. One customer asked me last october if she could add text inside and honestly thats what I built the empty space for. Reach out if you want guidance on sizing text to fit inside a specific ring size.
Use a light tearaway on cotton or canvas. Avoid stretchy knit fabric without cutaway underneath since those long spider leg lines can pull and distort. Skip topping mesh on fleece because at 96 density the design is already open enough to sit clean. Stitch on black, charcoal or burnt orange for halloween but this also looks genuinely cool on dusty sage for a more subtle fall look.
