Mocked up this truck design back in early october and it keeps being one of the ones people come back for every fall. Its a vintage pickup, the kind with rounded fenders and white wall tyres, done entirely in solid matte black thread. The truck bed has 2 orange jack-o-lanterns sitting in it, grinning faces carved in and a lil ghost peeking out between them. A witch hat sits propped up in the cab window area. Bats and 4-pointed stars scattered up top give it that spooky night feel without making it too busy.

3 colours: dark green for the tiny leaf stems on the pumpkins, orange for the jack-o-lanterns, black for everything else. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, Tajima format. 5 sizes from 2.41 inch wide up to 5.17 inch wide, heights 3.51 to 7.51 inch. At the small end its 9,958 stitches, at the big end 25,759. The truck body is heavy filled black so you do want a good quality cutaway stabiliser underneath, dont skimp there or youll get distortion on the side panels. 34 trims total in the middle size.

One customer ordered this for a halloween canvas banner three years running and she send me a photo every time. Use the 5-inch for banners and pillow fronts, hoop the 3-inch for tea towels and smaller items. Pair it with a burlap or natural linen base and the matte black truck reads really well against the natural fibre texture. Avoid tearaway on that dense black satin area, the density needs proper cutaway support underneath or the fills will pucker.

Email me if the download doesnt come through or if you need a size that isnt in the pack.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Burlap or hessian throw pillow for autumn decorThe 5-inch version fills a burlap pillow front with room to spare, the black thread reads beautifully on natural fibre.
  • Canvas banner or table runner for Halloween partyStitch three repeats of the 3-inch across a canvas runner for a Halloween table that looks properly decorated.
  • Denim jacket back yoke areaPlace the 4-inch on a denim jacket back yoke, 3-colour design so thread changes during the run are minimal.
  • Halloween tote bag for grocery or farmer market runsHoop a canvas tote with the 5-inch centred for a market bag that doubles as Halloween decor all October.
  • Kids trick-or-treat bag or backpack patchThe 2.41-inch smallest is patch-sized, stitch it on felt then sew onto any bag or backpack.
  • Autumn wreath ribbon or fabric centre accentRun the 3-inch onto a wide wired ribbon for a wreath centre, matte black reads as striking against greenery.
  • Teacher gift mug cosy or pouchStitch the 2-inch on a small canvas pouch for a teacher gift, pair with a coffee card inside.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
