Last october I had a customer who wanted something for her daughter's halloween costume tote bag, she needed a cat that actually looked like it meant business, not one of those soft round-face ones you see everywhere. Thats what pushed me to design this one properly. Alot of detail went into the hat alone, the directional satin on the brim gives it that rigid look once its hooped and stitched out.

Technically this ones packed, 26,671 stitches at a density of 365, which is dense for a 3.23" wide piece. Ten colour stops total, so plan your thread changes before you sit down. And the underlay work is set up for medium-weight woven fabric, cotton twill or denim works really well. Use a cutaway stabiliser here, not tearaway, theres too much satin fill coverage for tearaway to hold cleanly on the back.

Stitch it on trick-or-treat bags, kids halloween tshirts, or the front of a costume hoodie. Pop it on a pillow cover for the couch in october and it looks properly seasonal without being tacky. The gold star fill in the background will catch light differently depending on your thread sheen, so pick a metallic if you want that extra glimmer, or go flat if you want it muted.

Digitised in Wilcom and tested on cotton before going up. Its one size at 3.23" x 3.51", fits a standard left chest position on most adult tops. Holler if you need a resize or youre having any issue with the file at all and Ill get it sorted for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids halloween trick-or-treat bagTrick-or-treat bag for a kid who wants something that actually looks like it means business.
  • Left chest halloween hoodieLeft chest on a black hoodie works perfectly here, the gold star fill catches light differently depending on the thread sheen you pick.
  • Costume tote bag front panelKitchen apron front panel for a halloween dinner party, deep green or black apron fabric makes the gold stars pop.
  • October throw pillow coverCotton twill dog bandana cut in a triangle point; the 3.23 inch width sits squarely on medium to large breeds.
  • Girls halloween t-shirt chestOctober sofa pillow that stays up year-round because the colour palette is genuinely that good.
  • Spooky pet bandana embroideryLinen is going to drag at this density, stick to medium-weight cotton twill or canvas for the hat brim satin sections.
  • Halloween party apron decorationMy sister asked for three of these on matching family halloween sweatshirts last year, the directional brim satin held clean on all three.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
