A little cartoon bat hanging upside down, wings wrapped around its body, surrounded by a bunch of small flower sprigs and leaves. The florals are what make this one different from standard halloween bats. Its kinda a soft mix of spooky season and cottage garden, and that combo is what gets people ordering it for things beyond just halloween. The bat itself has simple round eyes and a calm expression, nothing scary about it.

Stitch count runs from 7,590 on the 2.84 inch wide cut going up to 18,133 on the full 6.07 inch version. Five sizes total, all digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio. Single colour throughout so theres only 1 colour change, which makes it fast to stitch out. The floral detail has fine satin stitching so use a medium cutaway stabiliser on knit or jersey fabrics, you dont want the petals to lose definition. On a woven cotton canvas tearaway stabiliser works well.

My customers use this one all year, not just in October. Theres something about the bat plus flowers combination that people gravitate toward for dark cottagecore and witchy aesthetic projects. One customer last autumn ordered it for a whole set of linen napkins in dark olive thread and the result was genuinely gorgeous. Stitch it in white on black cotton for a classic halloween look, or try dark olive, burgundy, or navy on cream linen for a botanical feel.

tape down water-soluble topping on textured fabrics so the fine floral detail sits clean on top of the weave. Best at 5 to 6 inches for most shirt and tote placements.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
