Pulled together this hanging cat chandelier design last halloween and its been one of those low stitch count pieces that sells alot better than you might expect. The cat is hanging upside down from an ornate chandelier arm, back paws gripping the bar, tail dangling down. The whole thing reads as pure black silhouette.
Just one colour, black solid fills on both the chandelier and the cat. And the landscape format means its wider than it is tall, so it sits naturally on a hat brim, shirt pocket or tote bag front without crowding the space. Stitch count is 4,209 at the smallest all the way up to 10,941 at the full 7.5 inch width, so its fast to stitch at any size.
Comes in 5 sizes from about 3.5 inches wide to 7.5 inches. Had a customer write in to say she put the medium on the pocket of a black canvas tote for her niece and it was the hit of the halloween school fair that year. So the scale is flexible enough for a lot of placements.
Stitch it on cotton, canvas, denim or lightweight twill. Use a tearaway stabiliser for most wovens, cutaway if youre hooping any stretch fabric. Avoid a black background since you wont see a thing, pick orange, grey, cream or dark navy for the best contrast.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
