Stitched these ornaments up because I wanted a bauble design that felt like an actual christmas display rather than a single floating sphere. The design shows hanging baubles strung along a horizontal line, each one has that classic dome shape with a cap and loop at the top, some with the light shine stripe detail youve seen on real glass baubles. Its a christmas decorations scene, not just a blob.

Three colours keep it simpler than it looks, the baubles share the red and gold or green tones across the row and the caps are handled in a single neutral thread. Stitch count runs from 18,930 on the 4.83 inch size up to 29,087 on the 7.46 inch, density sits at 458 which gives the bauble bodies that smooth rounded look without being overly stiff. Only 4 sizes on this one, going from 4.83 by 5.51 inches up to 7.46 by 8.51 inches, so theyre all medium to large hooping sizes.

I sell alot of ornament designs in november and december, one customer wrote me saying she was doing a whole ornament series on canvas pouches as gifts for her neighbours and this hanging version was the one that got the most compliments because it looked like a scene rather than a single bauble. She said she hadnt expected the detail on the caps and shine highlights to come out so cleanly with just 3 colours.

Pop a cutaway stabiliser behind this one. Four sizes all sit in the 4.8 to 7.5 inch range and the 458 density bauble fills do better with solid backing. Woven cotton, linen, and canvas all work well. Use a tearaway on denim or heavier canvas, cutaway on any stretch knit. Dont rush the colour changes here, the gap between each bauble section is short.

Four sizes, 3 colours, clean classic bauble scene. Tote bags, cushion covers, sweatshirts, and holiday table linens all work nicely.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas tote bags and canvas bagsThe 6 inch wide version centred on a canvas tote gives a christmas gift bag that people want to keep and reuse.
  • Holiday cushion coversUse the 7 inch version on a plain cream or white cushion cover for a simple christmas home decor piece with no characters.
  • Festive sweatshirts and jumpersWorks on the chest of a sweatshirt in a classic colour like navy, charcoal, or forest green with the baubles reading clearly.
  • Christmas table linensRun the largest size along the bottom hem of a white linen table runner for a subtle christmas dinner table detail.
  • Gift pouches and drawstring bagsStitch a medium size on a cotton drawstring pouch to use as reusable gift wrap for small christmas presents.
  • Holiday tea towelsThe ornament scene on a plain white cotton tea towel makes a practical and cheerful christmas kitchen gift.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
