Its just webs hanging down. No spider. No cartoon face. Just the actual web geometry, radiating spokes, concentric arcs, the whole thing rendered in clean line work at a density of 72. That low density is intentional; this design works to look like real web strands rather than a solid filled patch, and at 3,035 stitches for a 3.5 inch width it stitches out in under ten minutes. One colour. One thread change at setup. Done.

I get a lot of requests for border designs that repeats along a hem or a table edge, and this one is the most versatile halloween border I make. The wide-shallow proportions, 3.5 inches across by 1.86 tall, mean you can run it as a continuous row across a tablecloth hem or along the cuff of a sleeve. Because its open density you dont need a stiff stabiliser; a light tearaway works fine on cotton and even on lightweight knit if you go slow. The running stitch construction on the web lines means the design sits very flat after stitching, no puckering even on thinner fabrics.

Use white thread on black fabric for maximum drama, or try dark grey on orange for a softer halloween palette. Im particularly fond of this in white on a black cotton napkin set, you run the border along the bottom edge and it looks like the webs are literally hanging off the fabric. Stitch it at the hem edge of a halloween tablecloth for a full-length spooky border; a 108-inch tablecloth lets you repeat this six times at 3.5-inch spacing with about 18 inches gap between each web cluster.

I had a customer run this across a full 120-in dining runner with six repeats and said the whole border I finished it in under an hour. Pair with black cotton and a light tearaway for the fastest, cleanest stitch-out at this scale.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
