Worked up this haunted house silhouette set against a big orange full moon and honestly its the kind of design that just feels halloween the second you see it. Tall narrow victorian style house dead centre, totally black silhouette, with five small windows glowing pumpkin orange like theres something inside watching you.
Bare crooked trees with twisted branches frame the house on both sides, a small picket fence runs across the base, and three little bats fly across the face of the moon up top. The moon itself takes up alot of the background, bright pumpkin orange against a soft cream off white tone.
Only 4 thread colours which honestly makes this one of the easier high impact halloween designs to stitch out. Mostly black fill across the house and trees, the orange does the moon and the window glow, soft cream sits behind everything, and a touch of grey adds a tiny bit of shadow depth. Quick to load colour wise, big visual punch.
I had a customer text me last october saying she stitched this on a stack of black hoodies for her sons halloween party, they all went home wearing one. Thats the kinda message I keep going for. Comes in 9 sizes from 3.5 inch up to 7.5 inch wide, stitch count runs 23k to 67k for the biggest piece so the larger sizes need a proper sturdy hoop and some patience.
Stitches beautifully on midweight cotton, canvas tote, denim and fleece. Use a cutaway stabiliser behind any stretch knit since the dense black fill will pull a thin fabric. Skip lightweight silk or organza, the silhouette is way too solid for delicate fabric. Pair it with a cream or grey background fabric so the orange moon really sings.
