Im really really happy with this one. Its got that classic crooked haunted house silhouette, with the glowing orange windows that read as creepy at any size. I drew it last fall while we were marathoning old halloween movies, and the leaning chimneys came from a screenshot I paused on. Took me kinda a long time to land the right angle on em.

The file includes 9 sizes from 3.21 to 6.87 inches wide. Vertical design, so heights run 3.5 up to 7.5. Stitch counts run 17,776 on the smallest up to 43,680 on the largest hoop. Only 3 colours, the solid black silhouette, the warm orange window glow, and the cream moon. Im gonna be honest, the low colour count makes this one of the fastest halloween designs ill ya stitch out. Density runs 848 spi, which keeps the black silhouette solid without it puckering on lightweight cotton.

Cutaway stabiliser is non-negotiable. Snug hoop. Pop a sharp sharps 80/12 needle in. Run the moon first as the back layer, then the black house silhouette and tree, then the orange window light last as the top accent. The window glow stitches into the cutout shapes left in the black fill, so dont skip colour stops or it wont line up right.

This one looks brilliant on grey or pale orange tees and works for halloween tote bags too. The minimal colour count means a fast stitch out, alot of customisation room for thread colour swaps. Try a deep purple silhouette instead of black for a softer halloween palette on light fabric.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween tote bag panelHalloween tote panel where the glowing windows read uncanny against dark canvas, my customer ordered four for her haunted-house ticket booth.
  • Tee centre chestCotton tee chest with a microtex 80/12 holding the silhouette edges crisp; the minimal palette stitches out fast even at the largest hoops.
  • Halloween cushion coverReads as classic-spooky rather than gory, which a community-centre halloween coordinator flagged when she ordered ten black linen cushions.
  • Door hanger panelFelt door-hanger wall display on a rod rod, two cutaway layers underneath give enough body to hang flat through breezy porch nights.
  • Trick or treat bagDrawstring trick-or-treat bag for a kindergarten classroom party; mid-weight cutaway anchors the layout below the drawstring channel.
  • Apron front centreBlack cotton halloween apron front for a costume-store till worker, the smooth silhouette finish needs no topping under cutaway alone.
  • Wall hanging verticalLinen wall-hanging panel framed with a thin wooden dowel, the vertical proportions fill a narrow hallway better than horizontal designs.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
