Imagine a hefty orange gourd hollowed out and stuffed full of graveyard scenery. Off to the left, a crooked tower mansion rises with a cross perched at its peak. One flapping creature glides across the middle, silhouetted over a moon. To the right floats a wide eyed phantom with its mouth caught open mid wail. Sprouting up from the soil near the base, two skeletal zombie palms push past dirt beside a small tomb marker. The shell of the gourd itself wears two orange tones, a vivid shade up top fading into a muted shadow tone toward the base.

Spooky designs have been my bread and butter since 2019. Valentines and october are my packed months, lots of late nights digitising. Every august my inbox fills with etsy sellers asking for a pumpkin shape thats got more going on than a basic carved face, this one usually gets sent right back. Last fall one customer ordered six for hooded sweatshirts she made for her teen daughters friend circle. Whole group kept tagging her store on instagram at school events.

Now theres alot of detail packed into one frame, so fabric pick carries weight. Cream cotton or plain natural canvas lets the orange tone glow under porch lighting. Charcoal canvas works too if ya switch out black thread in favour of soft grey, otherwise the mansion silhouette flat out vanishes against the dark base. Steer clear of patterned cloth here. No room left over for extra visual chatter behind the scene.

Stitch counts climb from 14566 at the 2.91 inch end up to 40231 at the 6.23 inch end, with five sizes baked in. Density rides heavy at 859 thread points per inch, so grab a firm cutaway under anything but sturdy canvas. Hoop snug. Drop the carriage speed when ya hit the phantom satin, white thread on dark base needs clean laydown or the edges will fuzz up something awful.

Stitch the small size onto a backpack pocket or a kid october bib. Mid sizes land nice on cotton tea towels and apron pockets. Biggest covers a 16 inch porch pillow face cleanly. Sew order goes mansion first, then phantom, then the winged creature, then orange shell fill, with the outline laid down last. Message my inbox if your file refuses to open or any shade comes through too washed out on stitch out.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
