Worked up this one after a bunch of requests for something music-themed that wasnt just a music note. The headphones are big and blocky, that lil retro DJ style with thick ear cups and a curved headband. Yellow is the dominant colour, then theres a strip of white running along the top edge of the cups for that highlight effect, and the soundwave drops out of the bottom centre in solid black. It reads exactly like a street-art graphic when its stitched onto a black tee or a cap.
punched the file via Wilcom, which kept the satin density tight on the ear cup fills, which is where most of the stitch count lives. The density runs at 828 stitches per inch so the yellow areas come out dense and flat without any gaps. You get 3 colour changes and the sequence is Yellow first, White second, Black last so its a logical thread order that keeps the machine running without awkward jumps. Stitch totals run from 15,943 at the smallest hoop up to 40,097 stitches at 7.5 inches, this is a complex file so you want a firm cutaway stabiliser underneath.
A customer grabbed the 4.5 build last month for a hoodie chest pocket area and it came out sharper than they expected on the fleece. The soundwave spikes are the trickiest part at small sizes because theyre tight satin columns, but at 3.5 inches and above they hold up. Add topping film if youre stitching on fleece or any pile fabric. Run it on black cotton twill for the highest contrast, ya really cant go wrong with yellow on black for this kind of graphic design.
Use a 5x7 hoop for the two biggest sizes and a standard 4x4 for the small and medium ones. Pair it with a plain font name or initials below if youre personalising music gift items. Skip heavy tearaway on stretchy jersey, cutaway only. Drop me a message if anything looks off with your download and Ill get it fixed straight away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
