Came up with this one after seeing how many customers wanted a heart that felt more meaningful than just a plain heart but without going into overly complex territory. The two angel wings spread wide on either side of a solid red heart at the centre. Each wing has multiple rows of feathers, all outlined in fine black thread with layered satin lines, so when you look closely the feather rows have real depth and structure. The heart itself is a clean red fill, no sketching or outline tricks, just solid colour that anchors the whole piece.
Two colours and low stitch counts, 2,661 at the smallest size and 5,654 at the largest, make this the fastest stitch-out in this set. Check bobbin tension before you hit the wing sections, the narrow satin columns on the feather outlines need even tension to stay sharp. Thats kinda where most mistakes happen. Heres my advice, slow down. Youll thank yourself later. Back woven cotton with tearaway, stretch knits need cutaway to keep those fine black lines from pulling or distorting.
Notably wider than tall at every size, widths run 3.5 to 7.5 inches while heights go 2.24 to 4.79 inches, so its a landscape-oriented piece. Works really well centred on a shirt yoke, spread across a bag flap, or on the back of a jacket where the wingspan can breathe. Pop the small 3.5-inch version on a hat front or sleeve patch. Skip really textured or fluffy fabrics where those fine feather lines sink in and disappear.
People use this for valentines day but I get as many messages from customers who want it for memorial items, sympathy gifts, or spiritual pieces. One customer ordered the 7.5-inch version to stitch on the back panel of a denim jacket for a memorial to someone close to her. Message me if you need any adjustments to the file and Ill sort it out for you.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day shirt yokes and back panelsThe wide landscape proportions sit beautifully spread across the back yoke of a plain shirt, giving it a jewellery-like quality.
- Memorial or sympathy embroidered giftsCustomers regularly use this for memorial pieces stitched on cushions, bags, or framed hoops as a thoughtful sympathy gift.
- Hat fronts and cap embroideryThe smallest 3.5-inch size fits a standard cap front hoop and the fine wing detail reads surprisingly clearly at that scale.
- Denim jacket back patchesOn the back of a denim jacket the largest 7.5-inch version has real presence and the black and red hold up well on indigo denim.
- Pillow covers for bedroom or spiritual decorCentred on a white or cream pillow cover it works as both a valentines and a year-round decorative piece for bedrooms.
- Sleeve patches on hoodies or jacketsA 4-inch version on the upper sleeve of a hoodie or bomber jacket is subtle enough for everyday wear but detailed enough to catch attention.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
