Small hearts arranged in a perfect circle, each one outlined cleanly with no fill inside. Thats really the whole design, and its the restraint that makes it work. Single colour, 2,687 stitches at 3.39 inches up to 5,285 stitches at 7.26 inches, so the largest size is still well under a 10 minute stitch-out on most machines. The density here is very low at 97 stitches per inch, which means no fabric distortion and no heavy hand on lighter cottons or linen. I've stitched this on cream linen napkins with burgundy thread and it looked like something you'd find in a French linen shop.

Reach for a lightweight tearaway stabiliser rather than cutaway since the stitch count is so low, the hooped fabric barely gets any pull at all. Even a single layer of tearaway under medium weight cotton handles this comfortably. The outline construction means theres no satin fill to pucker, just a clean running-stitch perimeter on each tiny heart. This one is genuinely easy for beginners to set up, one customer told me it was the first design she ever hooped herself and she nailed it on the first try.

Use any thread colour that suits your project. A single red on white cotton is the obvious choice for valentines gifting, but soft pink on grey linen, gold on navy, or sage green on natural canvas all work equally well. Stitch it at 5 inches on a cloth napkin, 7 inches centred on a throw pillow cover, or the small 3.39 inch version on a pocket square or a tote bag patch. Because its all outline with no fill, the design works with any backing fabric colour you choose without any bleed-through concerns.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Cloth napkins and table linen for Valentine's DayA 5 inch version on a cream linen napkin with burgundy thread looks elegant and takes under 10 minutes to stitch.
  • Throw pillow covers for a minimal romantic lookCentre on a natural linen pillow cover at 7 inches with rose pink thread for a minimal bedroom accent.
  • Linen tea towels as affordable gift itemsThe small 3.39 inch version runs so fast that you can batch 4 or 5 tea towels in an evening session.
  • Tote bag patch or front panel placementFront panel of a canvas tote at 5 to 6 inches with a contrasting thread colour is clean and modern.
  • Pocket squares and shirt cuffsThe 3.39 inch size fits a shirt pocket or cuff with the full wreath circle intact and readable.
  • Baby bibs and nursery accessories in pink or redPale pink or soft red on white cotton makes a sweet and washable baby bib, the low stitch count is gentle on thin fabrics.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
