A round ceramic cup sitting on a saucer, drawn in that clean cartoon line style where every curve is confident and thick. The surface of the drink has a lil heart sketched into it like a barista latte art moment. Then floating up from the top in place of steam are 3 loose hearts at different sizes, the biggest one near the cup, a mid one twisting up, and a tiny one at the very top. The whole thing reads as a single image from 5 feet away which is what you want on a mug cosy or a pocket tee.

So its just 2 colours: red for the heart fills and the saucer accent areas, black for all the outlines and the cup body. One colour change. Stitch count is 5,007 on the smallest 3.51-inch size and 11,247 on the largest at 7.51 inches. Density is really low at 331 so this is a lightweight design that runs fast and doesnt stress fabric. A coffee shop owner in my area ordered a bunch of these last december on cream canvas aprons for her staff, she told me her customers kept commenting on em over the christmas period.

So the design is tall and narrow rather than wide. The biggest size is 7.51 inches tall but only 4.52 across. Keep that in mind for placement. Pop it on a mug cosy, on a lower shirt pocket, or centred on a canvas bag panel. Its a bit too narrow to use as a full front tshirt graphic but as a chest-left placement it sits just right. The small 3.5-inch version is nearly perfect for stocking stuffers embroidered onto a little linen pouch or a flannel hand warmer.

Use a lightweight tearaway on cotton or canvas, its low density so you dont need cutaway here. Iron your fabric smooth before hooping, any texture in the base fabric will catch in the outline satin columns and make the cup look wobbly. And if your machine slows on those solid red sections just bump the thread tension up a half notch, the satin fill areas at this density sometimes go slightly loose at normal tension on older machines.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Coffee shop barista aprons and work uniformsA local coffee shop owner stitched this on cream canvas aprons for her staff last christmas and customers kept commenting.
  • Valentines day mug cosies and cup sleevesEmbroider the 4-inch on a mug cosy in the 2-colour scheme and pair it with a bag of fresh coffee beans as a gift.
  • Linen pouches and small gift bags for coffee loversStitch the 3.5-inch on a cream linen drawstring pouch and fill it with coffee sachets for a valentines gift under 20 dollars.
  • Tshirt chest pocket placements for cosy winter wearUse the 5-inch as a left-chest placement on a cream or oatmeal tee for an everyday cosy coffee lover look.
  • Canvas snap-frame tote bags for cafe market stallsPop the mid-size on the front panel of a canvas snap-frame tote for a cafe stall. The tall format fits the panel well.
  • Tea towels and kitchen textiles as novelty giftsEmbroider the small version in the lower corner of a cream cotton tea towel as a coffee-themed kitchen gift.
  • Stocking stuffers on flannel hand warmers or mini bagsStitch the 3.5-inch onto a flannel hand warmer or small zippered pouch and its a solid last-minute stocking filler.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
