The whole design is a single red thread -- 1 colour, no changes -- but it doesnt read flat at all. At 3.06 inches wide the big heart shape is packed with lil individual hearts, each one touching the next, so up close you see all the small ones and from a metre away you just see the large outline. Its a clever bit of digitising and it stitches out clean because Wilcom handled the satin density really well. Romance and love in one clean silhouette -- thats the whole idea here.
Stitch counts run from 5247 at the smallest up to 12409 at 6.55 inches wide, so you can fit it onto a standard 4x4 or a 5x7 hoop without any hassle. Back it with a cutaway stabiliser -- I use a medium weight, about 2 oz -- on most knit fabrics. Satin coverage on the mini hearts is tight and directional, which gives that layered texture even though its all one colour.
One customer last February ordered the 5-inch on a red fleece throw blanket and it ended up looking raised, almost like a relief carving. Realy cool effect she said. I wouldnt have thought to put red on red but the light catches the satin stitches differently so it totally worked.
Use a bright red polyester thread for the most pop. Skip denim or heavyweight canvas at the smaller sizes -- the little heart shapes need room and stiff fabric fights the needle. A smooth cotton or fleece works best. Pop it on a tote, a tea towel, a baby blanket, or a card pouch and youre done. Hit me up if theres anything off with your download and Ill sort it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day tote bags and gift pouchesRun the 5-inch onto a cotton canvas tote for a clean bold statement with zero colour changes.
- Baby blankets and nursery throw pillowsThe 3-inch fits perfectly centred on a baby blanket corner, stitched onto fleece with a soft cutaway underneath.
- Tea towels and kitchen linenLooks sharp on white linen tea towels -- the satin hearts read really well against a plain weave.
- Kids' sweatshirts and fleece topsHoop a kids fleece sweatshirt with a medium cutaway and stitch the 4-inch on the chest pocket area.
- Card holders and fabric greeting cardsThe 3-inch version stitches on a fabric card front in under 10 minutes -- great for valentine gift sets.
- Quilting squares and fabric art panelsStitch the 6.5-inch onto a quilting square for a fabric art piece or heart-themed wall panel.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
