This is the classic heart outline. Unlike the doodle ones I have, this one is properly symmetric, both humps match, the bottom point is centred, and the line itself tapers a bit thicker at the top and thinner at the point. Looks intentional rather than hand-sketched.

One colour, bright red, satin stitch outline so the line has that smooth ropey raised quality. The stitch direction follows the curve of the heart so it catches light evenly when you turn the fabric. No fill, no second colour, just the silhouette outlined. Cant get much simpler than this.

I made this one as the everyday heart for valentines stuff but honestly its the version most people end up reaching for year round. Last february a customer ordered ten in a row for a wedding favour run, anniversary gifts, baby shower with a love theme, all of it works because the shape is timeless and not tied to a specific style.

Sizes go from about 2.8 inches wide upto just over 6 inches, so it fits anything from a chest pocket to a centred shirt or pillow piece. Stitch count is moderate which means it doesnt take forever to run.

Best on cotton, linen, denim, lightweight canvas, fleece. Use a tearaway stabiliser for woven fabrics, cutaway for stretch knits. I would skip very thin silky fabric for the bigger sizes since the satin column can pull. Reach out if your machine throws an error, ill rebuild the file.

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Wedding ring pillow accentsStitched small on a satin or linen ring pillow it sits cleanly without competing with the rings.
  • Anniversary gift towelsOn a soft cotton hand towel it turns into a personal anniversary or housewarming gift in minutes.
  • Baby shower onesiesA small size on a baby onesie pairs nicely with names or dates for love themed baby shower gifts.
  • Couples tote bagsCentred on matching canvas totes it works as a couples set without screaming valentine.
  • Pillow case monogramsPair the heart with embroidered initials on a pillow case for a quick personalised bedroom piece.
  • Mothers day handkerchiefsA tiny size on a cotton handkerchief corner makes a sweet mothers day or grandparent gift.
  • Linen napkin cornersStitched in the corner of linen napkins it dresses up a date night dinner or anniversary table.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
