The big heart is made of little hearts. Thats the whole idea, the outline path of a large heart traces through rows of small individual hearts packed together, so from a distance it reads as a heart outline but up close you see its actually dozens of tiny hearts all stitched in formation. Single colour throughout, all one thread, no second tone to separate the little hearts from each other. The spacing and the heart shapes themselves do the visual work. Its one of those designs where customers do a double take when they see it close up.
Five sizes, 3.2 inches wide at 4,910 stitches up to 6.87 inches wide at 13,625 stitches. The height runs slightly taller than the width, 3.5 to 7.5 inches, so its a shade taller than square. My biggest sellers run through this one consistently around February and Mothers day aswell, the mosaic concept works for any romantic or sentimental occasion. Density is 264, light to moderate, so it stitches up clean and fast without stressing delicate fabrics. One colour also means no thread swap breaks in the run.
Try tearaway on woven cotton or linen. Go with topping on anything with texture like terry or waffle fabric because you want those little hearts to stitch out sharp and not sink into loops. One customer mailed me a snapshot of this in gold thread on navy canvas and it looked brilliant actually. Pick a thread colour with solid contrast against your base, if the hearts are too close in tone to the fabric the mosaic effect is lost. Avoid dark thread on dark fabric at the small sizes, the detail disappears.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
