The big heart isnt filled in solid, its the outline only and the outline itself is made up of dozens of tiny individual hearts packed side by side. Each mini heart is a separate small satin shape, and theyre arranged in 4 colours: bright red, hot fuchsia pink, dark red, and a deeper magenta-rose pink. The colour placement alternates across the rows so it looks varied and layered, not just one colour going around. The centre is open so whatever fabric colour you use shows through.
4 colours, 3 colour changes. Low stitch range too, 6,926 at the smallest 3.51-inch version up to 12,862 at the 7.51-inch largest. Density is 234 which is very light. These are all individual small satin fills, every tiny shape stitched separately, and at density 234 they stay soft and flexible on the fabric rather than building up into a stiff slab. Theres 141 trims at the smallest size, which is alot, and that number reflects all those individual heart shapes needing clean jumps between them.
After stitching each individual shape the machine jumps to the next, that means your jump stitch management matters here. Run with jump stitch trimming on auto if your machine supports it, otherwise you'll have alot of tails to clip by hand. Hoop a medium tearaway or light cutaway under it, the design doesnt pull heavily so you dont need a firm backing.
Works on white, cream, pale pink, light grey, and any pastel. On dark backgrounds the pink shades disappear and only the darkest red reads clearly, so stick to light fabrics for valentines day gifts, baby items, and romance-themed work. Its kinda perfect for the top of a pocket, a small pouch front, or as a lil sleeve accent. My daughter asked me last february if I had something small she could stitch on a fabric card for her friends and this was the one she picked, came out really sweet.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
