Its a stethoscope and a heart at the same time, which is really the whole design. The tubing runs up from the diaphragm, splits into two arcs that form the top lobes of the heart, then the earpiece ends trail out past each other the way they naturally sit. The round diaphragm disc anchors the bottom point. No fill areas, no background, just the cord itself running as one continuous black satin line the whole way around.
Single colour, zero colour changes, 3 trims. Smallest hoop run is only 1,260 stitches on the 1.45-inch size, the largest at 5 inches tops out at 5,342. And honestly thats the bit I appreciate most about this one, the proportions stay clean even tiny. Outline-only builds dont blur the way dense fill designs can at small dimensions.
Ive sold a bunch of these across the last couple years for nurse and doctor gift runs. People drop it on a scrub pocket, a badge reel blank, a small canvas pouch. One customer last winter stitched the 1.5-inch on a set of reels for a whole ward team as a christmas gift. Simple enough to reproduce twenty times in an afternoon, clear enough that everyone gets what it is immediately.
Hoop with a light tearaway on woven cotton scrub fabric since its all outline work and there isnt much stabiliser stress on the base cloth. Switch to a cutaway only if youre stitching on stretch knit. Black on white or pale blue scrub fabric reads cleanest. Skip dark grounds unless you swap to a lighter thread colour, the thin satin cord disappears otherwise.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- Healthcare worker badge reel and lanyard blanksThe 1.5-inch version fits neatly on a badge reel blank for a personalised nurse ID holder gift
- Medical staff gift pouches and small bagsRun it centred on a small zip canvas pouch, fill with hand cream or chocolate for a nurse gift set
- Nursing graduation keepsake itemsWorks well on a graduation card patch or small felt keepsake for nursing school completion gifts
- Hospital volunteer and student tote bagsPlace the 3-inch on a natural canvas tote chest for a student nurse or hospital volunteer carry bag
- Veterinary clinic staff name badge backingCompact enough for a vet clinic name badge backing since the design reads medical without being human-specific
- Doctor appreciation week apparel and accessoriesSmall placement on a plain tee or hoodie sleeve for doctor appreciation week staff gifts

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
