Stitched this one out last valentines season after getting a bunch of requests for a heart that wasnt just a solid outline or a filled shape. The heart here is made from a wreath, small leaves and flower buds and fine branches all joining together to form the heart silhouette, with LOVE sitting in the centre. Its more botanically romantic than in-your-face red.
Single colour which keeps the thread count simple, 3 sizes from 4.83 to 6.58 inches wide and five and a half to 7.5 inches tall. Stitch count 15,428 on the smallest up to 21,979 on the large. The wreath uses fine satin columns and running stitch outlines to keep the leaf and bud shapes distinct without overloading the density. At 445 the whole thing stitches smoothly, it doesnt pull or pucker if youre on a decent stabiliser.
My niece asked me to make her a pillow cover with it for her apartment last February. Chose a deep dusty rose thread on cream linen and it came out gorgeous. She keeps sending ya photos from different corners of her living room which honestly makes me happy.
Use a tearaway stabiliser on plain cotton or linen for best results. Skip dark busy fabrics, the single colour needs contrast to read. Try dusty rose, sage green, navy or black thread depending on your fabric colour. Pair it with a plain round cushion or centre it on a tee for the best shape payoff.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
