Two hands intertwined, fingers laced together, and they're holding a small bunch of anemone-style flowers, the kind with wide open petals and a dark seed centre. Leaves tucked in around the stems. And then below the hands, hanging like a pendant, theres a small solid red heart. The hands and flowers are all in black outline stitching, scratchy and hand-drawn looking, while the heart is a dense red satin fill. Its the contrast that makes it, the loose sketch lines of the hands against that one small pop of red.
2 colours, 1 colour change during stitching. The PDF confirms Black for the outline work, running 11,432 stitches, then Red for the heart at 499 stitches. Total range across 5 sizes is 11,933 at the smallest 4-inch up to 24,588 on the 8-inch. Use the 6-inch or larger if youre going on anything bigger than a tee pocket, the petal details need room or they blur together. Run a bobbin tension test before you stitch the heart because thats a small filled satin shape and any pull shows up badly on light cotton.
This reads as a valentines day piece but honestly people are ordering it year round, one customer wrote me saying she uses it on anniversary gift sets she makes in her etsy shop. Its aswell a great design for a couples project or a friendship piece, doesnt have to be romantic. Stitch it on cotton canvas with a medium-weight tearaway stabiliser. Skip the cutaway on this one unless youre on a stretchy fabric, because the linework is light enough that a cutaway can ghost through thin cotton.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
