Baby reindeer sitting down and staring upward at its own antlers, because theres a whole string of lights wrapped around them. The antlers are small as reindeer go, the kind a young one would have, and the lights cord is looped and tangled all through them with bulbs in pink, yellow, green, red, blue and purple all mixed together. The cord itself is a thin black running stitch that curves naturally through the antler shapes rather than sitting rigidly.

The deer body is a warm tan directional fill with darker caramel brown on the face snout and ears, giving it that deer-hide depth without using alot of colour stops. Theres a red nose and a small yellow bell on a cord around the neck, which youll only really notice when you zoom in. Round feet sit flat underneath the body and it has a soft seated posture like its just resting. Ten colours total, with the multicolour light bulbs doing most of the work.

One of the lighter stitch count designs in the holiday range, 8,305 at the smallest and topping out at 20,479 at the 7.51-inch size, so it runs fast and behaves well on lighter fabrics like quilting cotton and flannel. A lil tear-away stabiliser is enough for the smaller sizes. I got a message last christmas from a customer who used the 3.51-inch version on a newborn onesie and said it came out beautifully on white cotton jersey with light cutaway underneath. The 5 hoops go from 3.51 inches up to 7.51 inches wide, so use the small for a pocket or bib and go big for a full sweatshirt front.

Works on nearly any colour. Use white or cream to make the warm tan body really readable. Try navy or forest green for a darker base where the multicolour lights pop off the background. Gentle design, doesnt overwhelm smaller items like bibs or pockets.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
