Home Is Where Your Honey Is script over a tipped honey jar, the whole composition reading real cottage-kitchen warm. Chocolate brown cursive Home sits at the top in a tall flowing script. Coral pink is where your nests between in smaller cursive. Then big bright orange Honey anchors the bottom in a fat brushy script with long curling tails on the y, and a tiny brown is finishes off to the right. Up above the lettering hovers a chubby cartoon bumblebee, peach belly with black stripes, big smile, aqua-blue wings buzzing, and to the right a striped orange beehive dangles like its being pulled along by ribbon.

I drew the bee with kawaii eyelashes, lil rosy cheeks and a smile, it gives the design proper grandma-kitchen energy. The brown Home script uses a classic cursive curve, while the bottom Honey script is heavier and more playful, the contrast between the two weights is what makes the lettering hierarchy work. The aqua wings on the bee are translucent-look stitched in light run-stitch only, so theyre airy and dont read solid.

Last spring a customer ordered this for her wifes valentines day gift, she ran the 5-inch hoop on a cream tea-towel and framed the towel inside a kitchen cabinet glass-front door. Thats a real sweet idea, isnt it. Sent me the cabinet pic, the warm-toned word at the bottom glowed against pale linen and the bee looked like it was buzzing through the kitchen. And another buyer ordered the bigger hoop for her own farmhouse kitchen apron front.

Run on cinnamon needlecord, oatmeal, soft white or pale yellow cotton, the warm chocolate and orange tones land beautifully against neutral fabrics, the colour story reads like a honey jar against a butcher-block counter. Avoid white-on-white aswell, the coral middle line gets washed out without enough contrast. Pop the 7.5-inch run on a tea towel front, drop the small 3.5-inch on a kitchen pot-holder, run the medium hoop on a cushion cover for the breakfast nook.

Densest sections are the bright satin honey letters and the brown cursive curves on top, both run satin fills with directional shading so go medium-weight cutaway stabiliser. Run a fresh ballpoint 80/12 and dial back the rpm gently across the bees stripe satin so the underlay stops showing through. Float a tear-away topper on terry tea-towels, the loops can swallow the cursive lines if you dont. The wing run-stitch is delicate so keep tension steady through that section.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
