The words 'home sweet home' in a flowing hand-lettered script, and tucked right into the design is a sunflower with its petals fanning out from one of the letters. Its not just text with a flower dropped next to it, its actually built together so the stem curves up through the lettering. I love designs where the botanical element actually integrates with the words instead of just floating beside them.

Three colours in this build: golden yellow for the sunflower petals, green for the stem and leaves, and a dark brown or black for the script text itself. Stitch count goes from 8,560 at 2.59 inches wide all the way up to 23,380 stitches at the full 5.55 inch size. Density is at 561, which is medium and comfortable for most home machines. Used Wilcom for the digitising work, satin column lettering so the script stays clean on cotton and linen surfaces, which is where this design mostly lives.

Pop a tearaway behind woven cotton or linen, medium weight is plenty. For towels or canvas, step up to a light cutaway. My mum stitched this one on a cream linen cushion cover last autumn and it turned out really well, the kind of thing that ends up displayed permanently. Customers use this alot for housewarming gifts, new home presents, or just to stitch onto kitchen towels and pillow covers for their own spaces.

Skip stretchy jersey for this one since the lettering needs a stable ground to stay crisp. White, oatmeal, or natural linen give the 3 colours the most warmth. Add a name below the text with your own font if you want to personalise it for a gift. Send me a message if you want advice on that and Ill point you in the right direction.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
