Honestly this design started as a doodle I made last february after watching a documentary about wolves in yellowstone. The single-colour silhouette approach felt right cause it photographs well and stitches out clean on dark fabrics. I get messages alot from customers asking for outdoorsy designs that work on flannel and canvas, and silhouette wildlife scenes hit that brief.

Stitch counts span 2024 to 34241 across multiple sizes. One thread colour throughout, the silhouette style means the path is mostly a tight satin fill with running edge stitches. Density is set to handle the broad black areas without bunching. Hoop firm on heavy fabrics, and use cutaway stabiliser for knits, tearaway for canvas and twill.

The mountain ridges have a directional stitch angle I dialled in through Wilcom so the moon doesnt disappear into the surrounding silhouette. Run the bigger sizes on a jacket back or denim panel, smaller versions sit clean on a chest pocket. Send the file to your machine at the original orientation, dont rotate, the stitch angle was set for upright placement.

a buyer messaged me last week, said she ran it on a flannel shirt for her dads birthday, said he wore it daily through january. Thats the kinda feedback that makes the work worth it. The design holds up after wash if the stabiliser was right.

Email me chat note if the file errors mid-stitch or if a section reads wrong on your end.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Denim jacket back placementCustomer ran this on a flannel shirt as a birthday gift for her dad, said he wore it daily through january without issue.
  • Flannel shirt chest pocketdenim jacket back for hunting season, the silhouette graphic photographs well against the dark wash for social posts.
  • Canvas tote bag panelOutdoor brand commission used the largest size for camping blanket corners, wool takes the dense fill without bunching.
  • Hoodie back graphiclooks crisp from a distance a campground, the moon backdrop frames the wolf head without bleeding into the silhouette.
  • Wool blanket corner accentHolds shape on canvas tote panels for hiking gear shops, the stitch direction was set for upright placement so dont rotate.
  • Camping pillow cover frontSweatshirt centre placement works because the square composition balances on the chest plate without crowding the neckline.
  • Sweatshirt front center piecePine tree silhouettes anchor the lower ridges so the design sits visually grounded on pillow covers and wall hangings.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
