Reach out if you need this in a different thread colour, but the single-colour approach here is kinda the whole point. Its a circle badge layout with 'I'm Speaking.' in big bold block caps taking up most of the space, a hard period after the word, and then 'Kamala Harris' in a looping script underneath. The thin satin ring border pulls it into that classic campaign-button shape. One colour, single thread run, no changes needed. Its the kind of design thats simple to run but looks really deliberate and confident once its done.

Density is only 183 stitches per square inch, which is quite low, so this stitches up quickly on any standard machine. A medium tearaway stabiliser is plenty behind woven fabrics. On stretchy materials hoop with a cutaway and use a topping layer of water-soluble film to stop the script from sinking into the pile. Stitch counts go from 4,579 on the smallest size up to 10,330 on the largest square 7.5 inch size, so even the full-size run is done in under 30 minutes most of the time.

People have been using this on feminist-themed tote bags, quote cushions, and hat fronts. My customer last month stitched it on a plain white sweatshirt and the black-on-white contrast is super clean. Hoop your fabric square and centre it carefully inside the circle ring, because even a 2mm skew on the hoop will be visible on the finished badge shape. Run the ring first, then the bold text, then the script last for cleanest layer order.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Feminist quote tote bags and canvas shoppersThe badge circle shape translates well onto a natural canvas tote, centred below the handles with room to breathe.
  • Hat fronts and structured cap panelsThe 3.51 inch square size fits most structured cap fronts without the ring touching the brim or button.
  • Plain white or light cotton sweatshirtsBlack thread on a plain white sweatshirt chest gives a clean, graphic look with no extra decoration needed.
  • Circular embroidery hoop art for wall displayMounted in a 8-inch embroidery hoop the finished piece reads as wall art without any framing.
  • Cushion covers and throw pillow frontsOn a cushion front the round layout centres naturally and the quote reads at a comfortable distance from seated.
  • Reusable bags as political statement giftsA small-run of reusable shopping bags makes a memorable gift bundle for politically active friends.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
