Honestly this is kinda the perfect thing to stitch for someone youre gonna keep. Two lines of text, I'm Yours on top and No Refunds underneath in a slightly smaller weight, and the whole joke kinda lands because it reads like actual small print. Im always digitising quote designs but this one gets more repeat orders than most.
Two colours, 10,193 stitches at the smallest size up to 22,824 on the 6.71 inch version, so its not a really really dense piece but there's proper satin fill on the letterforms so they come out crisp rather than fuzzy. The underlay work keeps the text sitting flat even on stretchy jersey without any of that puckering you get with badly digitised type.
I get messages asking if this really really works on shirts and yes it does, that was the whole point. A customer reached out last valentines day to say she stitched it on her husbands apron and he wore it at their dinner party and everyone wanted to know where it was from. Thats the reaction you want.
Back woven cotton, denim or canvas with tearaway. Try a cutaway if youre going on fleece or any knit. Skip very light fabrics on the big 6.71 inch version as the satin fills can get heavy. Pop it on a dark background and do the text in cream or white for the most impact.
