This ones a two-layer word design and the layering is the whole point. PERFECTLY sits in wide distressed block caps in black, and then imperfectly runs across the top in red cursive, crossing right through the middle of the word underneath. The cursive layer sits on top of the block letters, overlapping them, which makes it look like the imperfect version has overwritten the perfect one. Its a visual joke and people get it immediately when they see it stitched.
Two colours: black and red, 1 colour change in the middle. The machine does the black PERFECTLY text first, then stops for you to swap to red thread for the imperfectly pass. Compact sample stays low-density, full hoop spikes the count up to 10,446 at 7 inches wide. Density is set at 654 which is on the higher end, because that underlying text needs to be fully opaque so the cursive overlay really reads as a separate layer. Drafted it in Wilcom over a Saturday afternoon and its underlay sequence lays the black fill clean before the red pass runs over it.
Craft makers keep asking me to ship the file early and people have been buying this as a gift for someone going through a tough time. Last Thursday a maker sewed this onto a denim jacket and the response from her customers was immediate. Use cutaway stabiliser because of the density at larger sizes. Avoid dark fabrics where the black wont read against the background. Add a water-soluble topping on any textured fabric before hooping, the cursive section has thin hairline strokes in the tails that sink into fleece without it.
Try this on an inspirational gift tote, on a journal cover panel, or framed as a word art piece in a hoop. Pairs well with earthy off-white or oatmeal fabric tones where both thread colours sit warmly and the red doesnt read as harsh.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
