Two hearts looped together so they pass through each other, like two rings linked on a chain. Each heart is its own shape but they share that crossing zone in the middle where one goes behind and the other comes in front. Its wide and shallow, not square, two hearts side by side take up more width than height. And its got 8 colour threads in it, which is a lot for such a compact design at low stitch counts, so most of those colours are going to thin accent fills and outline layers, not big solid blocks. The effect is genuinely delicate looking despite having 8 threads.

Message me if you want a specific colour combination recommendation. Five sizes, 3.5 inches wide at 2,319 stitches up to 7.5 inches at 7,496 stitches. The density is only 302 which is low, meaning this stitches up fast and doesnt put much stress on light fabrics. I paired this last February with a matching name text for a couples wedding anniversary gift set, the customer wanted coordinating heart and name pieces for a set of matching mugs. Came out nice.

Try a tearaway stabiliser since the density is so light, no need for cutaway on most woven fabrics. Hoop firmly to keep the two hearts in alignment since any shift during stitching will throw off the interlocking line. Run through 8 color changes in order and lay out your threads before you start so you dont mix up the sequence. Satin stitching on fine details works best on tightly woven cotton or linen rather than loose weave fabrics.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Couples anniversary gifts on shirts or sweatshirtsThe wide landscape shape sits well on a shirt sleeve at the 3.5 inch size
  • Wedding party favours and bridesmaid giftsDelicate 8-colour look works on white or cream cotton bridesmaid totes
  • Matching couple mug patches or fabric coastersSmall 3.5 inch version matches standard fabric coaster sizing at 4x4
  • Valentine's Day tote bag for a partner giftCompact enough for tote bag pocket or side gusset at 5 inches
  • Baby nursery items for a 'love' themed roomThe linked hearts motif reads immediately as love themed for nursery quilts
  • Ring bearer pillow or ceremony decor fabricAt 5-6 inches wide it fills a 6x9 inch ring bearer pillow front nicely
  • Jewelry pouches and small gift bagsLow density makes it safe for light organza or silk pouch fabrics

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
