The lettering here mixes two styles on purpose. 'It's Gonna' runs across the top in a loose red cursive with those looping brushstroke strokes, 'BBQ' sits below it in heavy black serif block capitals, and 'Time' picks the red cursive back up at the lower right. Everything wraps inside a thin red oval outline, and a small kettle grill silhouette in red anchors the bottom. Two thread colors -- red for the cursive and grill, black for the block letters, one color change. Its the kind of typographic contrast you see on vintage cookout prints and it translates really well into satin stitch.

Six sizes from just over 2 inches up to 7.64 inches tall, and this is a tall composition so it fills an apron bib in portrait orientation nicely. Lay heavy cutaway underneath aprons and canvas bags -- the density is moderate but the cursive sections have a lot of directional satin that benefits from firm backing. Tearaway works fine on woven shirt fabric. At the smaller sizes the 'It's Gonna' cursive at the top gets tight but doesnt break down -- I've stitched the 2-inch version myself and it comes out clean.

I get messages every May and June from people wanting this for Father's Day aprons and grilling season. Stitch it on a canvas tote at the 5-inch range and it sits nicely across the front panel without crowding. Pop it on a short-sleeve shirt at the 4-inch range for a backyard party look thats a bit more interesting than plain text. The red thread density stays consistent across all six sizes so you wont get thin spots on the big fill areas when you scale up.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
