Sketched out this JOY snowman design for the customers who want something with real christmas energy on it, not just a text slap. The 3 block letters are filled with a dense satin that has a faint directional stripe running through so they catch the light differently depending on angle. The snowman in the centre is the main event though, nine or ten colour changes including his red mittens, those green and white scarf stripes, and the multicoloured bulbs hanging off the right letter.

Stitch counts go from 14,456 at the smallest 2.02 by 3.5 inch size up to 33,416 at the 4.33 by 7.5 inch size, so this is a dense piece. Back it with a firm cutaway and I wouldnt skip topping on fleece or any fluffy fabric because the snowmans facial details need to land clean. I made this primarily with childrens christmas shirts in mind, the 3.5 inch height works perfectly on a 4x4 hoop for a kids chest placement.

A customer last week stitched the full size version on a navy sweatshirt and sent me a photo, the green letters on dark navy with that bright snowman pop was genuinely great. Run the colour changes in order, there are nine of em and the bobbin tension needs to hold through the denser fill sections. Use a medium-weight cottonjersey for practice first before going into fleece.

Drop me a message if anything looks off with the file and Ill get it sorted for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Children's christmas sweatshirts and pullover hoodiesCentre-chest placement on a 4x4 hoop works perfectly for children's sizes, the 3.5 inch height sits right
  • Christmas family matching shirt sets for holiday photosPick a coordinating colour like red or navy for all family members, the green letters pop on both
  • Festive tote bags and canvas gift bagsThe 4.33 inch wide version fills a tote bag front beautifully without crowding the edges
  • Holiday throw pillow covers and cushion frontsHoop a medium fleece with firm cutaway and topping, the dense fill sections need a stable base
  • Christmas baby and toddler bibs and onesiesThe smallest 2.02 by 3.5 inch size fits standard bib placement, use a tearaway backer on cotton
  • Seasonal zip pouches and makeup bagsThe portrait orientation fits zip pouch fronts naturally, no cropping needed
  • Teacher and school christmas gift itemsWorks well on teacher tote bags and linen bags as an end-of-year gift item

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
