I get messages every september asking for something farmhouse-fall thats not saccharine and not over-the-top. This goose is my answer to that, sixteen colours, 17,321 stitches, in a wide 3.5 by 2.81 inch rectangle that kinda just sits comfortably on aprons, towels, and totes without taking over the whole surface. My favourite part is that it reads as charming without trying too hard, and thats something I recieve requests for alot.

Sixteen colour stops sounds like a bunch for this stitch count, but each one earns its place. The plaid scarf alone needs four or five colours to get the crosshatch reading clearly, and the goose feather texture uses directional fill at multiple angles so the body has roundness to it. Density sits at 273, mid-range, not stiff, not too loose. Digitised in Wilcom with the colour sequence set so the goose body goes down first and the accessories layer on top.

Use a light to medium cutaway stabiliser, not industrial grade, but dont go with a flimsy tearaway either. At 17,321 stitches the fabric needs proper backing support. Stitch this on flour-sack towels and youll get a beautiful result on the first try. Pop it on an apron bib and the 3.5-inch wide format fills the space perfectly. On a canvas bag with a coarser weave, add a topping film so the fill stitching doesnt sink into the texture. Skip dense wools or heavily textured burlap unless you're ready to use a full topping layer. Wash inside out on a gentle cycle the first few times to let the stitching settle into the fabric properly.

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
