Kawaii rainbow with 10 thread colours and a smiley face in the arch, 4 sizes from 3 to 6 inch. Drew this one up last spring and it keeps coming back as one of the most ordered kids designs I have. I get messages from parents about this one more than most, usually mums asking which stabiliser works on stretchy onesie fabric. The face sits right in the centre of the arch, tiny black eyes curved downward in that classic sleepy-happy look, with pink blush circles on either cheek. Clouds puff out on both sides. Stitch range runs from 7,798 at the small end up to 18,781 at the large. Thats a solid amount of thread for a kids design but the detail really calls for it.
Im using 10 colours total: dark magenta, blue, sky blue, green, yellow, orange, red, pink, white, and black. Each colour stop is a separate thread change so youll want to budget time for 11 colour swaps. Use a cutaway stabiliser underneath, not tearaway. The dense tatami fill in the rainbow arch will pull at tearaway and you dont want puckering on a kids garment. I run a layer of topping on the cloud sections too, keeps those satin edges clean on fleece or sweatshirt fabric.
And its got real range for placement. The 3 inch sits perfectly on a onesie chest or a hat front. The 6 inch version fills a toddler shirt back nicely. Best results on white, pale yellow, or light grey cotton so the 10 colours really pop. Avoid dark backgrounds unless you underlay in white first, the sky blue section especially gets lost on navy.
Holler if something comes out wrong on your machine, just send me a message and Ill sort it out.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
