I drew this fluffy bow kitten last february for a customer doing pet adoption shelter merch, theres no doubt kitten chibi vibes were what she wanted to lead the spring tee run with. The wee one sits front-on with huge round amber yellow eyes blown wide, tiny pink triangle nose at the centre, mouth a wee w shape giving the soft little smile. A big pink ribbon bow sits tied between the ears on top.

Fur is the hero, every patch done in fine ink crosshatch with directional pen-line shading. Soft grey on the body fades into a tousled cream-white belly tip and chin patch, charcoal shadow lines hint at the depth where the legs tuck under. Whiskers are individually plotted as fine satin lines either side of the nose. Tail curls forward at the side and reads kinda just sticking out beneath one paw.

The bow is the colour pop, a fat pink ribbon with two looped sides and trailing tails draping over both ears. Ribbed satin fill on the ribbon catches the light at every loop. 9 sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide, stitch range starts at 35.7k and tops 79.5k on the largest hoop. 9 colours total, density logs at 1454, pre-wind 4 bobbins before ya start the largest size, dont wanna pause mid-fur.

One customer ordered six 5-inch versions for her local cat rescue shelter merch run last march, said the kittens with bows sold out the first weekend at a market stall. Stitch on smooth thick cotton, sweatshirt fleece, canvas tote, oatmeal linen cushion, theres a need for the fabric to handle the dense head fill underlay. Skip jersey aswell as thin cotton, the kitten body'll pucker and bunch.

Hoop with a heavy cutaway stabiliser, mesh topping for any nap fabric, the crosshatch fur lines lose detail if its missing. Pick rayon thread for the pink ribbon, the ribbed satin sheen reads soft and gentle. Use polyester for the grey body fill and the charcoal ink shadow lines, it holds the tone through wash. Avoid dark fabric, the soft grey body fur goes muddy on charcoal aswell as navy and the bow loses punch on red or burgundy fabric tones.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
