This kitten is standing straight up, head way too big for the body in that kawaii way, big round eyes with white highlights stitched in. The fur is done in grey crosshatch lines over a white base so it looks like a pencil sketch rather than a flat colour fill. Pink ears on the inside, a tiny pink nose, little wisps of whiskers. Around the neck theres a pink collar with a small red heart charm sitting right at the centre of the chest, and three more red hearts floating out to the sides.
Five colour changes: red, white, pink, grey, then black for the outlines and whiskers. The black linework is where alot of the character lives, those satin column whiskers and the eyelash marks are what make it look like an illustration rather than a clipart fill. Seven sizes ranging from 3.65 inches wide up to 5.63 inches wide, 5.5 to 8.5 inches tall, so its a tall design, more portrait than landscape.
I get messages from cat mums asking if this works for tote bags and sweatshirts, and yes it does on both. One customer told me she had it stitched on a onesie for her new kittens first vet visit photo. Which is honestly not a use case I thought of but it made my day. This is one of those that people who arent even into embroidery stop and ask about.
Back it with no-show mesh on here, the density sits at around 1,000 and the white base fill wants solid backing. Stitch on light grey jersey for a tonal look, or white cotton for the full contrast pop. Avoid textured fabric because the sketchy linework needs a smooth ground to read cleanly. Hoop snug and slow the machine for the detailed face section.
