The kitten is doing that thing where it plants both front paws on top of the yarn ball and digs in. Wide blue eyes looking straight up at you with full on big-eye kitten energy. The fur is grey tabby, dark stripes running through mid-grey and silver sections, and the chest is a soft cream-white. Little orange ear tips. One paw is stretched forward on the ball, the other wraps around the side. Tail curling out behind. Stray yarn ends scattered on the ground in hot pink and sky blue.

The fur stitching is genuinely good on this one. Long-and-short stitch fills in the satin layer give the chest fluff actual directional texture so it looks soft rather than flat. The whiskers are fine individual satin lines and at 4.5 inches they stay crisp without breaking. 14 colours including all the grey tones needed for tabby patterning, the pink and blue yarn, and the cobalt blue eye highlights. Wilcom digitised it and the iris detail uses a lighter blue inner ring inside the darker outer ring. 77k stitches at the 7.5-inch which is a fully dense file so use good stabiliser and dont rush it.

Cat people send me messages saying things like this is the first embroidery design Ive ever bought because I dont even sew but I had to. Im not suprised. Kitting out a knitting bag or a crochet project bag with this kitten and yarn design is the most logical thing in the world. A customer this spring ordered it for a gift for her mum who knits, put it on a canvas craft bag with Mums Yarn stash embroidered underneath and her mum cried.

Stitch on cream or beige grey cotton or canvas for best clarity. The dark grey fur stands out cleanest on light fabric. Avoid heathered fabrics because the tabby stripe detail will merge with the background texture. Use a cutaway stabiliser for any stretchy or semi-stretch material. Keep topping on fleece or terry so the fur stitches dont sink.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
