Sketched this out for the gift-bouquet crowd, the lavender that looks like someone just bundled it up and tied a red bow before handing it across. Multiple stems stand upright and fan slightly at the top, the florets bloom in two tones across the same bunch. Most sit in deep violet, some tips soften into a lilac pink, so theres a bit of natural variation without adding extra thread changes.

The red ribbon is the focal point that makes this different from a plain herb bunch. It wraps the stems at the mid-point in a smooth satin fill, then loops up into a full bow with two rounded loops and two long tails hanging below. The bow loops have a slight shadow fill on the inner curve so they read as three-dimensional rater than flat. Four colours total, deep purple, light lilac, leaf green and red. Its a clean colour sequence in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, logical order so the bow threads last without going back to restart earlier colours.

Wide rather than tall this one. Five sizes from 3.51 by 1.8 inches up to 7.51 by 3.86. Compact enough for a sleeve badge, wide enough to fill a tea towel centre. Stitch count runs to 23,226 on the biggest and density is 801 stitches per square inch. Medium stabiliser, hoop firm. The ribbon bow needs a steady base or the satin fills shift and those ribbon loops look puffy instead of smooth.

Works on white, cream, pale grey or dusty blush. Ive run it on a plain white cotton tote and that bow catches the eye immediately. Avoid patterned backgrounds, the two-tone purple gets lost in anything busy. Best on woven cotton or linen. A customer last spring used it on a set of linen gift bags for a baby shower and said the bow detail made people think they were store-bought until they looked close. Dont skip the water-soluble topping on looser linen, the floret fills need it.

Good for Valentine gifts, spring kitchen linen, new baby gift bags, its versatile without being generic. Dm the shop if you want the exact red thread number from the sample, its a warm true red not an orange-red and the difference is noticeable once its stitched.

What people are using this design for

  • Spring kitchen tea towel embroideryPop the 7-inch version on the centre of a white cotton tea towel for a spring kitchen gift that coordinates with fresh flowers on the windowsill
  • Wedding favour linen drawstring bagEmbroider on an organza favour bag for a garden wedding and tie the ribbon threads to match the actual bow on the bag
  • Romantic throw pillow corner accentPlace the small size in the lower corner of a cream throw pillow for a subtle floral accent that reads as deliberately placed
  • Baby shower gift wrap fabric coverStitch onto a fabric bundle wrapper and use it to wrap a new baby gift instead of paper for a keepsake the parent can keep
  • Mothers Day handkerchief detailAdd the smallest size to a white cotton handkerchief for a Mothers Day gift that feels genuinely made, not bought
  • Floral market tote bag front panelUse the large size on a natural canvas tote for a botanical market bag with a pop of red that gets noticed at the stall

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
