Leopard-feather, 12 colours, 9 sizes. Its a leopard face growing out of a feather. Not two separate things sitting next to each other, the feather IS the leopard. The outer silhouette is a long quill shape angled at about 45 degrees, and right where the central spine would be you get the cats nose and jaw coming through, lips slightly parted. The feather barbs at the top bleed into the black-tipped ears. Its one of those designs where people stop and look twice before they realise whats going on.

The fur detail is what makes this one stand out. Wilcom digitised the whole coat with tight directional stitching so the spot clusters are actually raised and textured, not just flat patches. Twelve colours in total, mostly golden amber, tawny tan and warm white with charcoal black for the rosette outlines and spot edges. The eye sits right in the centre of the feather body, pale olive green iris with a strong black pupil, and thats the focal point that pulls the whole thing together. And the wispy feather tips at the bottom taper into individual satin columns, real delicate finish.

I built this one last spring for a boho boutique owner who wanted something with alot of edge but not aggressive. She embroiders it on cream linen tote bags and the response shes been getting is aswell beyond what she expected. I get messages from tattoo artists asking if they can use it on denim jackets and canvas patches too, which honestly wasnt the original plan but it works perfectly.

Stitch it on natural fabrics wherever possible. Cream canvas, oatmeal linen, sand-coloured twill all let the amber tones breathe. Avoid busy prints, the fur texture has alot happening and it needs a clean ground. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser for the densest sections, particularly the face area which runs around 61k stitches at the largest 7.51-inch size. Hoop snug, the long diagonal shape needs tension or the feather tip drifts.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Boho tote bags and linen shoppersStitch the 6-inch size on a natural linen tote and it photographs beautifully against the raw fabric texture.
  • Denim jacket back panelsRun the full 7.51-inch on a denim jacket back for a tattoo-style wildlife statement piece.
  • Canvas patches for hats and bagsPop the 3.5-inch on a canvas patch, back it with tearaway and iron-on adhesive for hat embellishments.
  • Wildlife charity merchandiseUse this on volunteer tees or fundraiser totes for a wildlife conservation nonprofit, its a strong visual anchor.
  • Tattoo studio promo apparelEmbroider it on a black cotton apron for a tattoo studio front desk and it fits the vibe perfectly.
  • Framed wall art hoopsHoop the 5-inch version in a natural wood frame and hang it as wall art in a boho-styled living room.
  • Bohemian cushion coversStitch onto an oatmeal linen cushion cover for a nature-themed bedroom, the amber tones read warm.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
