Took alot of work to get the leopard print fill right inside the letter forms. Im a fan of how it landed. The word LOVE sits in wide block capitals and each letter carries a proper leopard spot pattern, cream base with irregular brown and dark spots layered on top, like fabric print but in thread. A lil gnome peeks out from behind the letters wearing a red pointed hat, white beard, and holding a small heart, with tiny pink cheeks visible below the hat brim. Red hearts scatter around the outside of the composition on fine connecting lines.

Eight colours total. Youre gonna be doing four thread swaps just to build the letter fill before you even get to the gnome and hearts. The density runs 2,459 stitches per square inch which is one of the highest in the valentines collection. Use cutaway stabiliser on everything regardless of fabric weight, the density distorts lighter backings if you skimp.

Strongly horizontal layout, all 5 sizes run wider than tall, widths go 3.51 to 7.51 inches but heights only reach 1.29 to 2.75 inches. A banner-style strip rather than a square. Stitch it on hoodie fronts in that wide centre position, on tote bag fronts, or across the chest of a sweatshirt. Run it on white, cream, oatmeal or black fabric so the spotted fill lands properly.

A customer last february wrote me about wanting it for a sweatshirt batch for her sisters book club. Heres my honest read, it sells to the gnome collector crowd as much as the romance crowd. Skip patterned fabrics where the cream base loses contrast. Pop a topping on fleece. Dm me if the file throws any errors on your end and ill take a look straight away.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentine's Day hoodies and sweatshirt frontsThe banner proportions fit perfectly across the centre chest of a hoodie or sweatshirt and the leopard detail reads clearly even at a distance.
  • Tote bags for gnome collectorsGnome collectors specifically seek this out for tote bags, the combination of trendy leopard print and whimsical gnome is a strong niche hit.
  • Apron fronts for quirky kitchen giftsOn a plain white apron bib the 7-inch version has real presence and works as a fun valentines day kitchen gift for someone who loves bold style.
  • Wide hat or visor brimsThe landscape proportions fit well on wide hat brims, giving a custom embroidered cap look thats unusual and attention-grabbing.
  • Framed hoop gifts for gnome enthusiastsThe small 3.5-inch size mounted in an oval hoop makes a keepsake gift for gnome collectors that has genuine craft quality.
  • Custom shirt fronts for Galentine's partiesFor a Galentine's party shirt the leopard print LOVE reads immediately as a fashion statement rather than a generic holiday design.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
