The heart is completely filled edge to edge with a leopard spot pattern, no outline, just pure animal print in heart form. Three colours make up the whole thing: warm tan for the base, medium brown for the spots, and dark brown outlines giving each spot a clean crisp edge. The spots are the irregular blob shapes youd expect from classic leopard print, not uniform circles, and the digitising in wilcom EmbroideryStudio makes sure each individual spot has a proper satin column edge so they dont blur into the tan background fill.
At 6.65 inches wide and 64,362 stitches at the largest size, this is dense. The smallest at 3.1 inches comes in at 18,600 stitches, which is still significant for a 3-colour fill. The density is 1,290 and because of how much coverage there is youll need solid backing or the heart will distort. Cutaway stabiliser is the only real option here, tearaway wont hold everything in place.
She ordered one last february for a Valentine's tee she was making for her daughter and sent me a photo, the stitching on the tan base looked actually textured, not flat, which was exactly what I wanted when I built the underlay structure. Looks sharp on black, cream, white, or charcoal fabric and its hard to go wrong with any of those.
Avoid placing it on busy patterned fabric, the 3 colours need a plain backdrop or the spots wont read clearly. Pick a black cotton jersey if you want maximum impact, thats my go-to recommendation when someone wants this one to really stand out.
Nine sizes from 3.1 inches up to 6.65 inches wide. Works for chest placement, tote bag front, denim jacket pocket, or as a back panel piece on a sweatshirt.
