Worked up this design around the cobalt banner idea because I wanted the snow quote to feel grounded, like its kinda framed rather than just floating on fabric. The script says 'Let it Snow' in cream cursive, sitting right in the middle of a solid cobalt ribbon that runs edge to edge. Five silver snowflakes, each a six-pointed satin stitch, scattered above and below. Three colours total: cream, cobalt, silver. The density is 573 stitches per square centimetre which is really just the right weight for something like a red apron bib or a medium-weight canvas panel without it going stiff.

Wilcom EmbroideryStudio is what I used for the digitising, and I built 4 sizes from 4.42 inches up to 7.36 inches wide. Stitch count goes from 18,142 at the smallest to 31,651 at the largest. That ribbon shape means youre gonna need a cutaway stabiliser that extends a good inch past the design edge on all four sides, otherwise the corners can lift when you hoop it. Use a water-soluble topping on the red apron fabric so the cream thread path doesnt kinda just disappear into the weave texture. Stitch that ribbon down first, then run the cream lettering on top, then the snowflakes last.

One customer hooped the 6-inch version on a canvas apron last winter and said it came out really really clean. She was going to customise a bunch for her craft stall. The cream on cobalt combination is what makes it work on red or dark backgrounds because you get that contrast no matter what base colour youre working with.

Add it to a cozy holiday throw pillow for a bedroom corner display. Pop it on a linen tea towel for a winter kitchen refresh. Use the 4.42-inch size on a tote bag front panel if youre after something subtle. Stitch it on a knit beanie with a stabiliser backing to keep the banner from warping. Best on wovens and canvas rather than stretchy knits for this one. Skip hooping the piece without backing because the banner will pull at the short sides.

Reach out if you run into any snags with the file and Ill get it sorted.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Holiday aprons and cooking bibsThe cobalt banner reads strongly on red or burgundy apron fabric for a cozy kitchen look.
  • Winter throw pillows for the bedroomStitch the 7-inch version on a cream throw pillow cover for a simple winter bedroom update.
  • Canvas tote bags for winter shoppingUse the 4.42-inch size on the front of a canvas shopper for a low-key seasonal tote.
  • Linen and flour sack tea towelsThe cream-on-cobalt colour combination pops cleanly on natural linen tea towels.
  • Christmas stockings as a bib panelThe ribbon shape works as a horizontal bib accent on a large stocking panel.
  • Knit beanies with stabiliser backingBack the knit fabric with a medium-weight cutaway before hooping to prevent banner distortion.
  • Framed embroidery hoop wall artHoop in a 7-inch embroidery hoop and frame as-is for a quick seasonal wall display.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
