This is the life is better at the beach piece and its got that retro sunset surfer feel really really hard. Life is better at the runs in red script across the top, then a big pair of black aviator sunglasses sit centred with palm tree silhouettes against an orange-yellow-teal sunset sky inside each lens. The word beach sits chunky underneath in bold black with a red and teal offset shadow. Tiny black sparkle stars float around the sunglasses.

Sunset gradient inside the lenses uses three horizontal satin bands, deep orange at the top fading through yellow into a teal sea band at the bottom, with two black palm trees sat over the gradient. Lenses themselves wrap a thick black satin column outline so the sunset reads like its actually inside the glasses. Bottom lettering uses three layers, a red shadow first, a teal shadow offset slightly, and the black main letters on top. Heavy density of 936 spi and the biggest size hits 46k stitches so its a long stitchout.

I digitised this for summer slogan apparel, beach holiday merch and surf shop tees. Sizes range from 3.08 by 3.5 inches up to 6.58 by 7.5, so itll fit a tote panel or full chest of an adult tee. A customer ordered the 6-inch last june for a bunch of cotton tees she sold at her familys boardwalk shop, she said em sold out in two weekends.

For fabric, white cotton tees, light cream tank tops, sandy linen tote bags, soft pale denim caps, oatmeal canvas backpacks. Skip dark navy or black, the bold black lettering vanishes against deep colours. Avoid stretchy lycra blends, the heavy lettering layers will pull the fabric out of shape and that drop shadow drifts wonky. Cotton woven holds it best.

Hoop with a heavyweight cutaway stabiliser, ya have to back this one well because the dense lettering layers and the sunset gradient panels both eat support. Float a piece of mesh stab underneath if youre going onto a thinner tee fabric, the 46k stitches at the largest size will distort lighter weaves otherwise. Run the machine slow on the offset shadow passes, the colour layers need clean alignment under the black topping or em shadows look fuzzy.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
