My niece asked for something halloween-y for her daughter last year and honestly this was kinda just the obvious answer, the Little Miss style ghost with that Boo-tiful pun built right in. Its the kind of design that really really gets a reaction from kids. 10,719 stitches, 8 colours, digitised in Wilcom at 3.5 x 2.91 inches, small enough for a left chest on a toddler tee but bold enough to read from across a room.
Stitch this on a cotton interlock or a standard kids sweatshirt fleece. Use a cutaway stabiliser, not tearaway, the wide white ghost body has enough satin fill that tearaway will let the edges curl on a stretchy fabric. Density is 163 so its relatively light for an 8-colour design, which means it wont stress thin kids jersey. Run a water-soluble topping on any pique or French terry to stop those tiny bow stitches from sinking into the texture. And start from the centre outwards so the ghost body registration stays locked before the smaller face details stitch.
I had a customer send me a photo after she stitched a dozen of these for a halloween class party, little matching onesies for her daughters whole pre-k class. She said even kids who hadnt seen those books were obsessed with it because the ghost face is just that cute. Gonna be honest, I stitched one out myself on a white pocket tee just to see how it came out and wore it to drop-off one morning. Got three questions about where it was from before I even got back to my car.
Use a light-coloured fabric, white, cream, pale pink or lavender, so the 8-colour palette pops the way it should. Reach me if the file doesnt open right in your software and Ill get you sorted. Send me a chat if the file misbehaves and Ill rework the punch.

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
