Its basically a circle with little stick arms and a happy face, and I mean that in the best possible way. That classic round-bodied cartoon shape with a big pink fill and a red heart right in the centre of her body - thats the whole design in a sentence. Shes got those tiny outstretched arms and the whole thing is drawn wide, about 7.5 inches across at the max size, which is actually wider than its tall. That horizontal proportion is unusual and it works on kids clothing where width matters more than height, like a chest logo on a onesie or the back of a toddler jacket.
Just 2 colours makes this one of the faster projects in the range. Stitch count goes from 6,103 at the petite 3.5 size up to 13,472 on the full 7.5-inch. Density is 379, which is moderate, meaning the pink fill looks properly covered without being so dense it stiffens the fabric underneath. The outline uses a slightly heavier satin column to hold the shape clean, and the heart in the centre picks up that same red thread so you dont even need to rethread the machine for it.
My customers order it alot for personalised kids valentines gifts. I had a customer order this last february for her daughters whole class, she stitched it on small canvas pouches and put sweets inside. She said the kids loved seeing it because they recognised it straight away, and honestly thats what you want from a character design at this scale. Stitch on white or pale pink cotton for the strongest result because the red heart really pops against those backgrounds. Use tearaway stabiliser for jersey onesies or baby clothes so the fabric stays soft after stitching.
