Pick any spot inside this heart and youll find the word love. The whole heart silhouette is packed with love written over and over in different letterforms, some in large flowing cursive, some in small tight block caps, some in rounded script, some upright, some on a slight angle. No two sections look the same. The overall heart shape reads clearly from a distance but up close its a whole mosaic of text. One colour, all red, nothing else.
1 colour makes this fast to run and easy on the thread budget. 559 density, 5 sizes from 2.83 inches wide up to 6.07 wide, and 3.5 to 7.5 inches tall. Stitch counts go from 12,708 at the smallest up to 25,430 on the 6 inch version. The single-colour setup means theres only 1 thread through the whole run, no stops for swaps at all. The lettering sections have good underlay so the satin stitch on the text borders sits flat and crisp even at the smaller sizes.
I sell this one all year, not just in february. Customers use it for anniversary gifts, home decor, and gift items. One customer ordered it for a set of linen napkins last december, red thread on white linen, and it looked realy sharp. The heart reads from a few feet away but when youre up close you see all the text inside, which is a nice surprise effect. I get messages about it after people receive gifts stitched with it.
Stitch on white, cream or ivory fabric for maximum contrast. Iron a poly tearaway under woven cotton and linen. For jersey or stretch fabrics go with a cutaway and add a mesh topping if the weave is loose. Try the 4.5 inch version on a tote bag front panel, it fits the space nicely without going edge to edge. Dont crank the speed on the dense word-fill sections, lower is better here.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day tote bags and canvas bagsThe 6 inch version on a standard canvas tote is my most recommended placement for this design.
- Linen napkins and table linens for giftingOn white linen napkins, the 3 inch version in one corner creates a subtle but effective detail.
- Framed hoop art for home decorIn a 10 inch embroidery hoop, the 7.5 inch version fills it beautifully as standalone wall art.
- Womens shirts and sweatshirtsOn a womens fitted sweatshirt chest, the 5 inch version sits proportionally and reads clearly.
- Quilting blocks and patchwork projectsIn a 6 inch quilt block, the 4 inch version fits with enough border space to bind cleanly.
- Anniversary keepsake cushion coversA 5 inch version on a cushion cover works for both valentines season and everyday home styling.
- Custom gift items for weddings and showersOn a wedding or shower gift bag, the 3 inch version gives a personal elegant touch.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
