Just the word love, written out in flowing brush-script style. The L has a long swooping lead-in stroke and the e finishes with a little upward curl. Its that modern calligraphy look with proper varying stroke weight in the satin column, fatter downstrokes and thinner upstrokes, so even as a single colour it has real visual interest.
Single colour, density 301, which is light and fast to stitch. Five sizes from 2.34 inches wide up to 5 inches, stitch count goes from 4,801 up to 11,296. This is one of those designs thats quick to run and theres not alot to go wrong in the stitch-out. Still slip a tearaway behind woven cotton and a topping on any textured fabric or fleece.
I get messages about this one regularly from people doing valentines items but also year round for wedding gifts and home decor pieces. Last winter I had a bunch of customers using it on cream linen cushions for christmas gift sets alongside a matching monogram, which I thought was a really nice idea.
Pick a thread colour that contrasts well with your fabric. White on navy looks sharp. Gold on ivory linen is gorgeous. Red on cream is the obvious valentines choice but honestly dusty rose on white linen is kinda nicer for something more timeless.
Try it at the left chest on a garment, or centred on a tea towel or pillow case. Stitch the small sizes on the corner of a cotton napkin or the flap of a cosmetics pouch for a quick personal touch.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentines day shirt or sweatshirtAt the left chest of a plain white or blush sweatshirt the script reads as a subtle year-round piece.
- Linen pillow case accentOn a linen pillow case in gold or cream thread it makes a soft romantic bedroom accent that works past february.
- Wedding gift tea towelA small version on a linen tea towel or kitchen towel makes a simple wedding shower gift that feels personal.
- Canvas tote bagCentred on a canvas tote in red or burgundy thread it works as a valentines gift or everyday bag.
- Napkin corner detailStitched in the corner of a cotton dinner napkin it adds a quiet romantic touch to a valentines table.
- Cosmetics pouch flapOn the outer flap of a cotton or canvas cosmetics pouch it makes a quick personalised gift for a friend.
- Christmas gift cushion setUsed alongside a monogram on a cream cushion it makes a warm christmas or anniversary gift set.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
