Stitched out this Love script because I kept seeing calligraphy designs where the swirl tails got lost at smaller sizes. The L and the e here both have long enough extensions that they hold even at 3.51 inches wide -- the swirl on the e is probably the longest tail Ive put on a single letter in a while.
Its 1 colour, 1 colour stop, stitch count between 4,544 and 10,974 depending on size. The low density at 295 means it runs fast and doesnt stiffen the fabric -- use a light tearaway under woven cotton or a medium tearaway on denim. Hoop standard for any size in this range. The satin stitching on the thick parts of the letters runs at a slight angle so the raised look comes through properly, especially at the larger sizes.
Customers reach for this one year-round, not just in February. People use it on wedding gifts, anniversary cards converted to stitched pieces, bedroom cushions. One customer stitched it in champagne thread on a cream pillowcase for a newlywed gift and it looked like something from a boutique linen shop.
Try it on a teatowel, a canvas pouch, or even a plain white shirt collar. Sizes go 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide. Run a sharp 80/12 needle throughout.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine pillowcases and bedlinen for a romantic bedroom detailThe horizontal script fits along the bottom edge of a pillowcase hem -- stitch at 7 inches for a statement look.
- Wedding gifts stitched in ivory or champagne thread on cream linenChampagne thread on cream linen reads as classic wedding gift; the swirl tails give it an upscale feel.
- Teatowels and flour-sack towels as a simple hostess giftA plain flour-sack towel takes this at 5 inches easily; tearaway backing peels clean on the woven base.
- Canvas zip pouches for a minimal valentines day favourStitch on a zip pouch front at 4 inches in red on white for a fast valentines market item.
- Shirt collar or cuff embellishment for a subtle romantic accentThe small 3.51 inch size sits nicely along a shirt collar without crowding the neckline seam.
- Anniversary card alternative stitched and framed as wall artFrame in a shallow box frame with white card backing for a simple romantic anniversary wall piece.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
