Theres something about a bicycle parked under a heart-shaped tree that just gets people. Ive been selling this since last valentines day and it doesnt slow down, the design has this gentle nostalgic quality, like a postcard from a slower time. The tree canopy arches up into a full heart shape, the branches spread out naturally before they curve into the heart outline at the top. Small hearts are scattered through the foliage like leaves. The bicycle below is a classic vintage-style frame with proper spoked wheels, leaned against the trunk.

Its a 2 colour design with a clean line-art silhouette feel. Total stitch count goes from 12,785 at 3.5 inches wide up to 25,174 at 7.5 inches, five sizes total. The density is moderate at 451 so it stitches fast compared to the heavily filled designs. Two thread colours means minimal mid-stitch stops, you can get through this one quickly even on a domestic machine.

I get messages people wanting this for cycling-themed valentines gifts, its popular with the cycling crowd who want something a bit different from the usual heart designs. One customer send me a photo of it stitched on a cream linen tote she made for her partner last february, looked beautiful against the natural fabric.

Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven linen or cotton canvas, the line-art stitch style is forgiving. Pair it with cream, sage, or oatmeal fabric for a soft romantic look, it reads less well on very dark backgrounds where the fine lines get lost. Slow your machine on the spoked wheel sections, those thin radial lines benefit from a steadier pace.

Message me if you need a different size or run into any issue with the files.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentine gift tote bags for cyclistsA large size on a natural linen tote makes a perfect valentines gift for a partner who cycles, personal and practical.
  • Romantic birthday shirts for bike ridersStitched on a pale cotton tee it works as a romantic birthday shirt for someone who loves cycling and the outdoors.
  • Anniversary linen keepsake piecesA medium size on a linen keepsake panel framed as wall art makes a quiet romantic anniversary gift.
  • Nature-lover valentines giftsPeople who love nature-themed romantic gifts go for this over the standard heart patterns, its gentler and more personal.
  • Couple cycling trip mementosWorks well on a small tote or bag made for a couples cycling trip, stitched with initials or a date nearby.
  • Whimsical bedroom cushion coversCentred on a sage or cream cushion cover it brings a soft romantic note to a bedroom without feeling too valentines-y year round.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
