A heart shape packed full of words. Love, adore, cherish, forever, always, yours, together and a bunch of similar love-themed words are stacked and layered in different font sizes and weights to fill the whole heart silhouette. Some words run horizontal, some at a slight angle, and thats what gives it the word-art look rather than just a grid. No single word dominates. The heart outline holds everything in and the packed lettering inside forms the body of the shape.

2 colours: red satin lettering and a white base or background tone. Density is 789 which is high, the fills pack in tight with minimal gap between adjacent letters. Stitch count starts at 17,793 on the 3.5-inch size and goes all the way to 42,168 at biggest 7.5 large. This is a proper large stitch run. On the big version youre looking at 20-25 minutes of machine time at standard speed. The digitising uses a satin stitch approach on the lettering rather than a fill stitch, which is why the density reads firm and the word edges stay sharp even on the medium sizes.

This design gets ordered a lot for framed hoop art and cushion cover gifts. One customer last september ordered the 7-inch on a red cotton cushion front saying she'd seen similar word art pieces in home decor shops for 30 quid and wanted the embroidered version instead. She used heavy cutaway stabiliser on the cotton base and said the satin held clean after two machine washes on a cold cycle. That checks out because at density 789 you need the cutaway backing to stop the dense fill from tunnelling through on washing.

Use heavy cutaway on everything with this one. Tearaway wont hold a 42,000-stitch run on cotton and youll get puckering at the edges if you try. Hoop tight. The lettering runs right to the heart border and any fabric shift shows up as an uneven outer edge. Add a base underlay across the full heart area before the lettering satin runs.

Stitch it on cream linen, white canvas, pale grey cotton or ivory fleece for framed display, or on cotton totes and cushion covers where the high stitch count wont budge through regular washing cycles.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Framed hoop art word heart wall display7-inch hoop framed on cream linen for a living room wall; a customer ordered this in September after seeing similar word-art pieces in decor shops and wanted the stitched version.
  • Cotton cushion cover valentines day giftWhite cushion at 7 inches with heavy cutaway; the 789 density holds cleanly through machine washing on a cold cycle, a customer confirmed this.
  • Canvas tote bag anniversary or love giftCanvas tote at 5 inches for an anniversary gift; the word art heart works year-round and doesnt read as seasonal.
  • Pale grey sweatshirt chest panelPale grey sweatshirt chest at 6 inches; the red lettering has strong contrast on grey and the satin holds even on fleece with cutaway.
  • Linen table centrepiece valentines decorIvory linen table runner end at 7 inches; the large footprint fills the end section well and the word mosaic suits a formal dining setting.
  • White cotton apron partner birthday giftWhite cotton apron bib at 5 inches with heavy cutaway; the word density needs firm support or the stitching tunnels through on washing.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
